The 2022 Special Olympics USA Games is a national multi-sport event in Orlando, FL, that features competition in various Olympic-style sports for over 5,000 athletes with disabilities. Delegations from all 50 states and select Caribbean nations travel to compete in the games. Jersey Mike’s Subs is the Presenting Partner, and Walt Disney World Resort is the Official Host.
Disney Live Entertainment produces the opening and closing ceremonies and features appearances from Celebrity Games Ambassadors, Superstar performances, The Parade of Athletes, and the lighting of the Flame of Hope officially kicking off The Games. The ceremony broadcasted nationally via ABC & ESPN affiliates.
